Da Vinci for Gifted Children

Our Mission / Vision

Keeping a child who can do sixth-grade work in a second-grade classroom is not saving that student's childhood but is instead robbing that child of the desire to learn. – Ellen Winner, Gifted Children: Myths and Realities

Foundational Principles

At Da Vinci Center for Gifted Children, we seek to:

  • Support the social and emotional growth of gifted children

  • Honor individual differences and learning styles

  • Provide intellectual challenge and stimulation through experiential learning

  • Offer enrichment opportunities by educators passionate in their fields

  • Regularly engage in play

  • Create and maintain a safe, supportive, loving and joyful community

  • Encourage children to pursue their own interests and passions

  • Meet children where they are, socially, emotionally, intellectually, rather than believe there is somewhere else they should be

We are committed to keeping children connected to the natural world. We are two blocks from Little John Park where children spend time every day in nature: discovering, learning, and playing!
